Probably the most famous sponge lives under the sea in a pineapple. But the second most famous sponge should be in your home.

Want your house to be clean? Then get a good sponge. Our Teresa places a huge emphasis on her sponges and will share with you now her greatest tips on what to buy, what to look for and where to purchase.

Buy quality. Because sponges fall apart easily, never go cheap. One brand Teresa likes is “Scotch and Bright.”

A good type of sponge are the ones that a green and yellow with two sides. One side you can scrub (has a rough side) fry pans and casserole dishes.

For dishes and glass, use antibacterial sponges.

Teresa’s big tip: Sterilize or change your sponge often. It makes no sense cleaning your house with a sponge that has mildew or loaded with bacteria.

If you wash, don’t leave the sponge soaking in the water by the dirty dishes in the sink.. Gosh, haven’t we all done that?…(: But there bacteria grows. Wash your sponges in dishwasher (top rack) and/or microwave for 30 seconds in water. **
